I'm ready for ya 2019!
The year 2018 was one of my best. I knew it would be. I told myself going into it that there would be no more holding back, no more fear, and I would finally shine like I was meant to. There is something said for speaking things into existence. You must tell yourself what you want to do, what you seek, and how you will achieve the accomplishments that you desire. Say it out loud. Share it with friends. Write it down and never forget it. It is possible to have everything that you want. 2018 was a year of immense growth, as the early twenties have been continuously for me. As I am approaching the later half of my twenties, I am now faced with a better realization of why things have happened the way they have, why certain people have come and gone, and why I am in the place that I am in. What I love about 2018 was that I had never felt more beautiful, more confident, more resilient and more alive than I did this past year. I have had experiences that have shaped me and made me a better person, I have had tough losses, I have had big wins, I've had relationships grow and some falter, I've had trials and tribulations both personally and professionally, but I have made it through. As 2018 comes to a close, I could not be more excited to approach the new year with a renewed sense of confidence, with a genuine smile, and with a thirst for new experiences and adventures. I believe in myself. I am cheering for myself now just as much as I have always cheered for others. I have forgiven myself, I have forgiven others, and I have a heart that has been broken, but continues to mend itself and fight for the chance to love all that it beats for once again.
My word for 2019 is fearless. I want to approach everything with this attitude. I do not want to fear growth in business, I do not want to fear the possibility of finding the right love, and I do not want to fear new experiences no matter how scary or intimidating they might be. I want to live the best life that I can possibly give myself. I want to feel alive in everything that I do. Tomorrow is not promised, so I am choosing to live everyday with the best outlook that I can. Lately I have been focusing on finding the positive in every situation no matter how difficult. I have been practicing having a more grateful attitude and remembering to stop and appreciate the amazing things that I have, while patiently waiting for the things that I want. It is not easy to slow your complaining, to stop wondering why bad things happen to good people, and to keep your chin up when the world is often trying to knock you down. 2019 I am ready for your challenges, I am ready for your pain, I am ready for your hard days, long nights, and rough patches. I am also ready for your beautiful mornings where I will be lucky to watch the sun rise again. I am ready for your breathtaking moments that I will wish to relive over and over. I am ready for your love, your laughter, and your accomplishments. I am ready to continue becoming the best version of myself, and I am ready to share my awesomeness with the world.
